A Soviet "Shilka" shooting at the Tajbek Palace

ZSU stands for Zenitnaya Samokhodnaya Ustanovka which means "anti-aircraft self-propelled mount". Nicknamed "Shilka" after the Shilka river, this vehicle is originally intented for AA-duties. It was found to be very effective against ground targets as well. It has four autocannons which are very effective against infantry and light armor. It has good armor as well, protecting it from light fire. The "Sewing machine" (as the Afghan soldiers called it) can be found in the games Combat Mission: Shock Force NATO and Combat Mission: Afghanistan.
